Custom Work

We specialize in gauge pods, switch panels, and other interior accents. Our 3D printing process allows us to rapidly prototype, iterate, and refine your vision. Not only is this method more affordable than traditional plastic manufacturing, it also allows for more complex shapes than injection molding.

How does it work?

Send us an email with a sketch, description, or photoshop image of your vision. Please include the year, make, and model of the car. From there we’ll quote your project.

How much does it cost?

Custom work falls into one of two categories:

  • Viable for mainstream production – Starting at $300+
    • These projects are for those looking to install a standard gauge, tuning device, or radar detector in commonly modified vehicles (for example, a Cobb Accessport mount in a GTI or STI). With this type of work, we develop the product with your help.  Billable engineering time is covered by our team, you just cover the cost of shipping and raw materials. CJM Industries retains the rights to the design file and may release the finished project on our website. You will own the first production part.
    • Custom work for a unique car with specific needs – Starting at $600+
      • These projects are generally for custom, ground-up builds (for example, developing a bracket, surround, or switch panel layout for a tube frame show car). This type of work requires more time to refine fitment and styling. Our hourly rate for CAD design is $50/hr. You would also cover the cost of shipping prototypes for test fitment.

What if I’m not local to Philadelphia?

No problem! In most cases you can send us the panel, vent, surround, or trim piece that the custom work will attach too. Please be prepared to leave this part with us for the duration of the design process.

      How long does it take?

Allow 2-6 weeks for custom gauge pods and radar mounts. Complex projects can take upward of 6+ weeks to finalize and produce. We work quickly on designs and revisions; however, shipping and production lead time can slow down the process. An estimated timeline will be provided during the quoting process.
