It also adds a small amount of downforce compared to a factory vehicle based on CFD simulation. Installing the blade requires lifting it up, then sliding back to latch in place. Latching requires some force, see video. Removal is done one side at a time - Pull the cable, slide the blade forward, repeat on the opposite side. Then pull the blade off.
